Within our first few weeks of opening, Tabu has come to be known as one of the best venues for performance art in the community. Over the last few years, Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar and its sports teams, performers, and staff have received more awards / trophies / acknowledgements than any other bar in the community including, but not limited to, Best Gay Bar, Best Bar for Beer, Best Sports Bar, Best Bartender, Champion of the C Competitive Division of the City of Brotherly Love Softball League Division āCā 20 and Third place at the Gay Softball World Series 2012. We host weekly drag shows, burlesque shows, comedy shows, variety shows, singing competitions, dance parties, drag brunch and musical acts. In December 2012 (after just two and a half years of being open), we held our 200th fundraiser in support of local non-profit organizations.
